About Us

October Systems was established in 1997 to provide video based IT training, originally with VHS tapes and CDs, I kept seeing these catalogues from LearnKey showing all the VHS video courses they had, such as NT 4.0, WordPerfect 5.1, Introduction to the Internet, all the latest technology courses! I kept commenting that someone should do something with these products in the UK, not realising that it should be me!

After changing jobs and moving from one ISP to another, I quickly recognised that this company was not for me, or I wasn't for them, so I contacted LearnKey, negotiated a supply contract, quit the ISP and started October Systems. From my first order from Bedford County Council for a 8 set video course on Exchange Server 2000, we now provide courses on CD, DvD, MP3 and MP4 for portables/tablets, Online streaming and SCORM format for LMS's and VLE's.

Starting off in a rented office we now have our own purpose-converted office, a former BT Telephone Exchange in the village of Linton, near Cambridge.

Why the cow in the picture ? I just like it, I was in the French Alps mountain biking and came across this herd of cows in a pasture, this one was particularly friendly.
